The High Court upheld the Central Government's order banning PFI organization, the Karnataka High Court dismissed the petition challenging the order.

A single-member bench headed by Justice M Nagaprasanna, which heard the petition filed by PFI Karnataka State Unit President Nasir Pasha, dismissed the petition.


Senior advocate Jayakumar Patil argued for the petitioner. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta argued on behalf of the central government. 

The court told the court that the prohibition was given due cause.

On September 28, the Central Home Department ordered banning PFI and other affiliated organizations for 5 years.
