BIG NEWS Establishment of Muslim girls college in 10 parts of the state including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi

Bengaluru: It has been reported that the state government is planning to establish 10 Muslim girls' colleges in the state.
It is said that there will be a strategy to establish 10 colleges for Muslim girls in many districts including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi Kalaburagi, Yadgari, Raichur district.
The State Waqf Board had submitted a proposal to establish 10 separate colleges for Muslim girls. Information is available that the government has approved the proposal.
It is said that a grant of Rs 2.5 crore has been earmarked for each college. It is reported that CM Basavaraja Bommai is likely to lay the foundation stone for this project next month.
A land has been identified for the establishment of a Muslim women's college on a 16-acre land in Adyar, Kannur, Dakshina Kannada district. Elsewhere, colleges will be started in some parts of North Karnataka, Hyderabad Karnataka where there is a large number of Muslims including Shimoga, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu.
These colleges will be built on Waqf properties across the state. After the foundation stone is laid, the construction work will start and the colleges are expected to start functioning from 2024-25. First PUC will be started initially and after second PUC next year it will continue till graduation.
