A video of YSR Telangana party chief YS Sharmila, sister of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Reddy, being forcibly towed away by the police while participating in a protest against Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao's government has gone viral.

As YS Sharmila was starting her car to go to K Chandrasekhar Rao's official residence for a protest rally, the police arrived and towed away Sharmila's car while she was still in the driver's seat.

Soon after picking up her car, which was mangled in yesterday's collision, the police brought in a crane used to tow vehicles through city streets and towed Sharmila's car.

Sharmila was sitting in the car while the crane was towing the car, and the media and Sharmila's supporters were seen running along.

YS Sharmila was arrested from Somajiguda. Police later shifted her to SR Nagar police station in Hyderabad.

As the situation worsened, the police canceled the permission to march. YS Sharmila was also stopped and asked to return to Hyderabad with a police escort.
