Madikeri: The JDS of Somwarpet taluk on Monday expressed its displeasure at the fact that the leader of the opposition Siddaramaiah was insulted by throwing eggs during his visit to Kodagu district.

Speaking at a press conference, Party Constituency Committee President H.R. Suresh said that BJP workers insulted Motte AA when Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah came to get information about the burning issues of the district and said that it was an insult to the people and farmers of the district.

Every year a huge amount of damage occurs during the rainy season. Not getting proper solution either. Due to rain damage this year too, it is necessary to fight in the assembly to provide suitable relief to the farmers. He said that the party would strongly condemn the insult by throwing eggs on this occasion.

He questioned that there is no protection for the opposition party leaders in the government, which means that the common people are no longer protected. He complained that the opposition party leaders were pelted with eggs and black clothes were displayed at the behest of the BJP government. Corruption is rampant during BJP government. It is notorious as 40% government. The work done is poor. Bad roads washed away in the rain. Seeing all this, the leaders of the opposition party, fearing that they would speak about the injustice of the government, complained that they had resorted to humiliating acts.
